Buses from Honolulu Airport with Bus Routes and Times

Honolulu Airport offers a great bus network to connect all travelers with the surrounding areas around the island. The City & County of Honolulu offers three bus routes from Honolulu Airport. The buses run approximately every 30 minutes, depending on the route number, which includes no. 19, 20, and 31.

The bus stops are located on the second level roadway along the center median. Please look for the designated signs.

Bus route no.19

This bus operates from HNL Airport to Waikiki and from HNL Airport to Hickam Air Force Base

  • Eastbound route: Airport - Kalihi Kai (via Nimitz Highway) - Downtown Honolulu - The Honolulu Civic Center - Ala Moana Shopping Center - Waikiki.
  • Westbound route: From Honolulu Airport to Hickam Air Force Base.

Bus route no.20

The bus runs from HNL Airport to Waikiki and from the airport to Pearlridge Shopping Center.

  • Eastbound route: Airport - Kalihi (via Nimitz Highway) - Downtown Honolulu - The Honolulu Civic Center - Ala Moana Shopping Center - Waikiki.
  • Westbound route: Airport - Arizona Memorial - Aloha Stadium - Aiea - Pearlridge Shopping Center.

Bus route no.31

The bus route no 31 operates between Tripler Medical Center and the Kalihi Transit Center, as well as between HNL Airport and the Kalihi Transit Center.

  • Eastbound route: Tripler Medical Center to Kalihi Transit Center.
  • Westbound route: The airport to Kalihi Transit Center.
